Maldives Diving

Helen and have dived twice in the Maldives; both times with Carpe Deim Maldives. The first in 2016 and agin in 2018. we were booked for a third trip in 2020 when COVID shut the world down.

An interesting fact about the 2016 trip was that we had booked on the brand new Carpe Novo. we were to be the boats second group of paying guests. We had organised 10 friends to go with us. As the time drew near we could not see any celebrations of the launching of the new boat on their website. A quick check discovered the boat was not ready and that we were going to be on a hired boat called the Mosaique. The Mosaique was a top of the line diving boat used to service the Chinese market but had just been taken offline for a refit.  As it turned out we had a great time. The 2018 was on the real Carpe Novo.
