This site showcases the adventures, the family, the hobbies of our life since we met in 2008

One purpose of this website is share the history of families brought together by the marriage of Reg Foster and Helen Copeland (nee Tichelaar). The site is available to any member of the Foster/Copeland/Hemingway or related family. To access the whole site you must register as a User by clicking the ‘Register” link in the menu above.

We acknowledge the assistance of the family members who have provided the backgrounds to their branches of our families. As time goes by we will continue to research and tell the stories of our past.

TRAVEL

So many wonderful memories and experiences have been had through our travel together. It has been a hallmark of our relationship. Diving in exotic places, visiting family and friends interstate and overseas and just plain adventure.

FAMILY

Our family history is full of interesting characters, from Convicts who made good, Gypsies who live for over 100 years, to Jewelers, to 10 pound POMS, its all here. Immigrants fleeing religious persecution, political escapees and Irish orphans who were part of Victoria’s social experiments to populate the early colony.

The Ancient history of the Foster name is also to be found here, involving a sixteen year old knight who fought at the battle of Hastings in 1066.

HOME

Dogs, gardens, walks in the Park and Edithburgh all fill our life with joy.

Helen is a mad keen gardener and has developed a real park like atmosphere in our  back garden. with Salvias and Roses to the fore, we get all manner of birds into taste the nectar on tap. She also has a couple of glasshouse to propagate seeds and cuttings.

We also love walking in the Belair national Park, just 1km from our front door. The seasonal emergence of Native Orchids is always a treat.
